AirAsia Philippines is starting Q2 2023 with a strong recovery, boasting an increased On-Time Performance (OTP) for all domestic and international flights. OTP is a standardized measure of how closely an airline follows its published schedule, with an airline considered on time if it arrives or departs within 15 minutes of its scheduled time. During Holy Week, AirAsia Philippines achieved a high of 99% OTP despite an influx of departing and arriving guests at the Manila International Airport. In fact, on April 7, 11, and 12, the airline even achieved a perfect 100% OTP. AirAsia Philippines also registered the highest OTP rating, 94%, for the entire AirAsia operations center from April 1 to 9. As the world’s best low-cost airline, AirAsia Philippines is committed to providing exceptional service and punctuality to its passengers.
“We know how important it is for our guests to reach their destinations safely and on time. Whether it be a business trip or a family vacation, every minute counts. That’s why our Allstar team works tirelessly together to ensure that our guests not only get the best value deals each time they fly with us but more importantly a committed air travel partner that values their precious time,” according to Steve Dailisan, AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Country Head.
AirAsia, the World’s Best low-cost airline, has been transparently publishing its OTP for all airline operations centers on its website. The Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) recently proposed that all airlines should also publish their OTP, which will be accessible to all passengers when booking flights. This move will allow guests to carefully plan their flights and travel itineraries, especially those with connecting flights or traveling from one airport to another. By making OTP information readily available, airlines can help ensure that passengers have the best possible travel experience.
