Cebu Pacific and UNICEF Secured PHP91M for Impoverished Filipino Children

Cebu Pacific (CEB) proudly announces that its in-flight fundraising initiative, Change for Good, has successfully raised PHP91 million in donations since its inception in 2016. This joint effort between UNICEF Philippines and CEB strives to transform the spare change contributed by passengers into critical supplies and services that directly benefit vulnerable children and communities.

“Our partnership with UNICEF has allowed us to channel the collective goodwill of our passengers into meaningful initiatives that will positively impact the lives of Filipino children. We are thankful for the generosity of our passengers and look forward to continuing this important work with UNICEF,” according to Candice Iyog, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer of Cebu Pacific.

Throughout 2023, CEB achieved an impressive fundraising total of PHP10.9 million through the Change for Good campaign. These substantial funds were allocated to various UNICEF programs, facilitating improved access to education, healthcare, and humanitarian aid for Filipino children across the country.

“Children have the right to a better and brighter future. Our partnership with Cebu Pacific has helped support our work so that every Filipino child can grow up healthy, educated, and protected,” said Oyunsaikhan Dendevnorov, UNICEF Philippines Representative.

As the exclusive airline partner for UNICEF in Southeast Asia under the Change for Good initiative, CEB continues to stand as a trailblazer, distinguishing itself as the sole local carrier actively engaged in fundraising endeavors to support children within its home country. This collaborative effort underscores Cebu Pacific’s unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable youth and contributing to the betterment of communities in need.
