Cebu Pacific Honors Top Travel Agencies at 19th Eagle Wings Awards in Iloilo City

Cebu Pacific (CEB) recognized its top-performing travel agencies at the 19th Eagle Wings Awards held on 11 March 2025 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Iloilo City. The annual awards ceremony celebrates the achievements of CEB’s travel agent partners, who play a vital role in driving the airline’s growth and connecting passengers to various destinations worldwide.

This year, a total of 52 travel agencies from the Philippines, Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates received the prestigious Eagle Wings award. The recognition underscores their contributions to expanding travel opportunities and enhancing passenger experiences.

“Each of you plays a crucial role in expanding travel opportunities, connecting people to new destinations, and enriching experiences for countless passengers. You’re a driving force behind every journey, every reunion, and every new chapter that begins with a flight,” Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer, told the awardees in his speech during the awarding ceremony.

To further show appreciation for its partners, Cebu Pacific hosted a special social night on 12 March 2025, co-presented by the Tourism Promotions Board. The event allowed travel agents to network, strengthen industry connections, and celebrate their achievements.

“None of these achievements would have been possible without your unwavering dedication and support. Your hard work and commitment have played a crucial role in shaping unforgettable travel experiences for our passengers. You are not just our partners; you are an essential part of Cebu Pacific’s success story,” said Arlene Tena, CEB Director for Passenger Sales and Distribution.

Iloilo City was chosen as this year’s venue to highlight its growing importance as a Cebu Pacific hub. The airline operates flights to 14 destinations from Iloilo, including newly launched international routes to Hong Kong and Singapore. Additionally, Cebu Pacific is set to inaugurate flights to Bangkok-Don Mueang from Iloilo on 31 March 2025.

Further strengthening its commitment to local tourism, Cebu Pacific, in partnership with the Tourism Promotions Board and the Department of Tourism Region VI, hosted a Business-to-Business (B2B) session with 20 Iloilo-based stakeholders. The session aimed to foster networking, collaboration, and the development of new business opportunities in the travel sector.

Cebu Pacific remains the leading domestic carrier in the Philippines, serving 37 local destinations. Internationally, the airline offers flights to 26 destinations, operating from key hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark, Iloilo, and Davao.
