Philippine Airlines (PAL | PR) is set to re-establish a critical link to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the flag carrier officially resumes its nonstop flights between Manila (MNL) and Dubai (DXB) starting 02 October 2026. This highly anticipated return restores direct air connectivity between the Philippines and one of the most prominent commercial and travel gateways in the Middle East, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s international network recovery.

The airline will kick off the revived route by operating four weekly flights between Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Dubai International Airport. While the initial schedule establishes a steady baseline for travelers, Philippine Airlines has expressed clear intentions to progressively ramp up its operations back to a daily service as soon as operational considerations and market demand allow.

This route resumption is poised to heavily strengthen connectivity for a diverse mix of passengers, including overseas Filipino workers, corporate business travelers, leisure tourists, and cargo forwarders moving goods between the two nations. Beyond serving the immediate point-to-point market, Dubai stands as a vital transit hub, offering seamless onward connections to various destinations across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

The return of these nonstop services aligns perfectly with increasingly convenient travel regulations for Filipino citizens visiting the United Arab Emirates. Eligible Philippine passport holders can now take advantage of a visa-on-arrival scheme in the UAE, provided they hold a valid visa, residence permit, or Green Card issued by major global jurisdictions such as the United States, the European Union or Schengen Area, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Canada, or New Zealand.

To celebrate its return to the Dubai airspace, Philippine Airlines is rolling out a special introductory all-in roundtrip fare starting from US$650 for a limited time, subject to standard terms and conditions.

Passengers planning their itineraries can look forward to convenient midday departures from Manila. Flight PR 658 is scheduled to operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, leaving Manila at 1250H and touching down in Dubai at 1800H local time. The return leg, Flight PR 659, will depart Dubai on the same days at 1945H LT, completing the overnight journey back to Manila and arriving at 0910H the following morning.
