Philippine Airlines (PAL | PR) is making travel between the Philippines and Australia even more convenient with the launch of additional flights between Manila (MNL) and Melbourne (MEL) beginning 19 November 2026, in time for the busy year-end holiday season. The increased frequency will expand PAL’s Melbourne service from the current five weekly flights to daily operations, giving travelers more flexibility and more options for holiday getaways, family reunions, and business trips.Alongside the additional flights, PAL will introduce an optimized flight schedule, making it easier for passengers to plan their journeys and connect to destinations across the airline’s network.
Under the upgraded schedule effective 19 November 2026, flight PR 209 will depart Manila daily at 2020H and arrive in Melbourne at 0730H the following day. The return flight, PR 210, will operate daily out of Melbourne, departing at 0920H and touching down in Manila at 1425H. This enhanced arrangement ensures smoother connections for travelers from the Philippines and across PAL’s international network seeking easier access to Melbourne. Similarly, Australian travelers can seamlessly connect via Manila to various destinations throughout the Philippines, Asia, North America, and the Middle East.
Beyond passenger travel, the expanded Melbourne service will also provide more cargo capacity on daily flights, helping support Philippine exports and strengthen trade links between the Philippines and Australia. This move reinforces the flag carrier’s strong presence in the region, as PAL currently operates the most flights and serves the most destinations linking the Philippines and Australia, with daily services to Brisbane (BNE) and Sydney (SYD); and three weekly flights to Perth (PER).
The introduction of daily Melbourne flights also comes during a milestone year for PAL in Australia. On 10 September 2026, the Philippine flag carrier marks 55 years of service to Melbourne, one of its longest-serving international destinations.
