Filipino travelers will soon enjoy significantly enhanced connectivity to key European cities as Singapore Airlines (SQ) expands its flight operations across the continent. In response to growing passenger demand for European travel, the flag carrier is progressively increasing its flight frequencies to several major destinations, including Manchester (MAN), Milan (MXP), Munich (MUC), and London Gatwick (LGW), while also adding a brand-new Spanish gateway to its global route network. These adjustments aim to provide passengers departing from the Philippines with greater flexibility and seamless transit options through the airline’s hub at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN).

Among the frequency upgrades, services to Manchester will step up from five times weekly to daily operations. Operational adjustments will also see flights to Milan transition from four times weekly to daily starting 25 October 2026. For Munich, Singapore Airlines will introduce a new three-times-weekly service launching on 26 October 2026, which effectively boosts the carrier’s total frequency to the Bavarian capital to 10 flights per week. Meanwhile, the airline is stepping up its second tranche of services to London Gatwick to a daily schedule during the Northern Winter 2026 operating season. This daily addition complements the carrier’s existing daily SQ312 and SQ309 flights to London Gatwick as well as its four daily services to London Heathrow, bringing the airline’s total footprint in the UK capital to up to six flights daily.

In addition to frequency increases, Singapore Airlines is broadening its European footprint with the introduction of Madrid (MAD) as its 15th European destination and second gateway in Spain. Commencing 26 October 2026, the carrier will operate a five-times-weekly service linking Singapore to Madrid via Barcelona (BCN) using its long-haul variant Airbus A350-900 aircraft, configured with 253 seats. Madrid stands out as a compelling destination for both leisure and business travel, offering access to world-renowned museums, the Royal Palace of Madrid, and a thriving commercial hub connecting Europe and Latin America.

“Europe continues to be a popular destination for Filipino travelers, and these network enhancements reflect SIA’s commitment to meeting that demand with greater choice and connectivity. The addition of Madrid as our 15th Europeandestination in Europe, alongside increased frequencies to Manchester, London Gatwick, Milan and Munich, will provide Filipinos more convenient options to connect to destinations in Europe via our Singapore hub. As we celebrate 60 years of service in the Philippines this year, we will continue to invest in our network and products, to deliver a high-quality end-to-end travel experience for our customers,” according to Liwei Tai, General Manager Philippines of Singapore Airlines.

Flight tickets for the newly announced Madrid route and the expanded European frequencies are currently on sale through Singapore Airlines’ official distribution channels, with additional flight schedules being released progressively.
